A big THANK YOU and another change of plan
Just checkin' in to let you know that I'm very thrilled to have no less than 10 comments on my latest post!
This number may look pathetic in some of your opinions, but for me it's a record.
And every... EVERY time I get a comment I'm so glad someone has been so kind to take the time and effort to read my blog and give me a little message. I'm not exaggerating, this is the honest truth.
Of course there are people who only read and that's absolutely perfectly fine.
But these nice comments, they make me smile. So to all you sweet comments-writing ladies out there:
I just felt like saying this so now I said it.
And what's that about changing plans?
Yes, I'm afraid I'll have to redo my mini-swap. In only a few days time the temperature in the Netherlands has risen to almost summer-heights. Well..not exactly that much but it feels like spring a lot!! And that's my problem: 50% of my mini-swap-fabric contains wool. It feels and looks wintery and I don't want to invest time in it when I will probably not wear it any sooner than oktober/november. Aaaand, I'm on a diet now. Impossible to say what size I will have when that time arrives. (Probably a bigger one than I've got now...sigh...).
So new plans are in the making. Maybe I'll stick to the patterns but I'll have to find other fabric. And maybe I'll change it altogether.
I'll keep you posted.
p.s. Hope spring will arrive for all of you very soon! It was sorely missed.

I have learned so much through blogging. I've looked at patterns on blogs that I would otherwise ignore. It's a fun and informative community, rather like a sewing club.
ReplyDeleteI am reading (first comment) and I am also starting up my spring sewing....

I know just how you feel about getting comments - it's great isn't it! I love to read your blog. Regarding your change of SWAP plan, that's what is great about sewing your own clothes - you're in charge and you can make whatever you want and change your mind whenever you want!
ReplyDeleteI get so excited when I see that people have commented on my blog -- I TOTALLY understand!!
ReplyDeleteSpring has finally hit my area of the US also. Of course, winter has been known to revisit after we have gotten spoiled by warm weather, so I am leary of being completely lulled in by the current beautiful weather. For the next few days, it is to remain warm. Like you, I am beginning to think more about spring clothing and beginning to switch gears. I have been pouring over my Burda magazines looking for inspiration. My stash of winter fabric has grown quite a bit thanks to the great sales at fabric.com. I have done a little work on my summer weight stash the past few weeks. I have enough to get started . . .
It is fun, isn't it? And to see where everyone is from, is just too cool! I've also learned alot about patterns, like Gwen said....patterns I otherwise would have ignored. But seeing them done up...it's inspiring. I've just stumbled on your blog and will be keeping it in my favs...
